On the last day of term, Annika and our new sports teacher Jon Waite organised an activity morning for the Lower School. Unfortunately the weather didn’t quite hold out for us but they still managed to create a packed morning of activities to test our students’ puzzle solving skills and sporting prowess.
Split into 4 teams of mixed year groups all the students did an amazing job working together and kept the day fun for everyone with their enthusiasm and impeccable behaviour. However, only one team could win and that was Team 2! Katy, Keaton, Huddie, Ella, Michael, Connor, Jonathan and Phoebe.
Whilst the awards were being handed out, the prize for the Food Miles competition was also awarded. During Activity Week, the students had forms to work out their food miles. For example, if your egg came from the chicken in your garden you will get less points than if it has travelled from the farm in another county.
At the end of the week the points were totalled up and Cara in Year 7 had the least points and was awarded a cookery book for her efforts.
